Organic Nastri Pasta (1.1 lbs)
Pasta Marella is entirely family run, a few kilometers away from Bari, Italy. They produce traditional Apulian hand-made and bronze die extruded pastas using only local durum wheat semolina and other ingredients, and dried at low temperatures. The resulting product has a wonderful aroma and texture superior to other small produced pastas.
Nastri are similar in width and length to tradtional pappardelle. Tri-colored; dough infused with vegetable puree and spices.
Each strand of pasta is made by hand into a 1"-wide, delicate silky ribbon. The colors come from natural dehydrated vegetable dyes, but the delicious flavor is due to the selection of the durum wheat. Use with any delicate sauce, such as a basil pesto or creamy tomato sauce.
